Through the craft of the artisans, each Katakuchi is unique, featuring a distinctive silhouette and subtle variations in glaze and finish. The gently sloping sides and wide mouth allow for precise pouring of sake, or any other beverage.

"YOUHEN" is a Japanese natural ash glaze- literally translated-  "changed by the fire." Youhen refers to changes in the kiln that cause the glaze to run during firing.
